Para El Día De Las Madres

It's May, it's the springtime, but it's also time for Mother's Day. They say this day is special in that it's reserved specifically for the maternal figures in our lives. Well, here are some pointers on making this year's Mother's Day a special one.

Tips
  •  Flowers--Pick a small, intimate bouquet. Less is better.
  • Sweets-- Chocolates are overrated for this occasion. I recommend picking up a small batch of cookies or a small cake (my mom LOVES rum cake, so that's what I'm getting her).
  • Dining-- Some mothers don't like going out to eat. Respect that. More than likely, you'll be sitting in line waiting for a table for a good hour or so.
  • During the Day-- Try not to be a pain. I know some mothers like to be left alone after a while. (She'll defiantly appreciate the peace and quiet break during the break!)
  • Be unique and different. Don't be so cookie-cutter because, to be honest, it does get old. Switch things up!
  • Have fun and enjoy!
