Quick as a Pinch..My Quick Guide To Piercings

Sitting outside the local tattoo shop, looking into the window, seeing the list of piercing styles. I'm going to guess you're thinking about whether a piercing is right for you, huh? Below are some things to look and think about, as well as how to take care of a couple piercings that I've encountered with some of my friends. Hope this helps!

Common Piercings
  • Belly Button
  • Tongue (Snake Eyes)
  • Monroe/Lip
  • Nose
  • Dermal or Surface

Choosing

  • Think you're personality and what will you be comfortable with.
  • Employment: Jobs look at the outside, so if you want something high-end, rethink the location.
  • Pain and Tolerance: Think about your daily routine; Will you be able to maintain the cleaning, concealing, and irritation? Remember, oral piercings restrict what you can/cannot eat.
  • Will you take it out? Like it? Dislike it?
Cleaning

  • Anti-bacterial soap (Liquid Dial-Gold work best for non- oral)
  • Mouthwash (For oral piercings)
  • Sea Salt and Water (works best if the water is lukewarm and salt is dissolved)
  • Do the above at least twice a day.
  • Wear comfortable clothing (depends on location of piercing).
